Daily work clothes...shorts/jeans and tshirts are acceptable attire for on site. Work gloves!
Sturdy shoes that are practical for working or hiking. Also, flip flops or sandals for the beach!
Casual clothes for evening/free time. Light sweater or jacket.
Sun protection...sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Gisborne is probably one of hottest and sunniest places in New Zealand!
Swimwear a must!

Toiletries
Camera
Journal note book and pen for those that like to keep a daily journal
Games, cards, etc.
Knapsack or bag to carry items to the building site
Zip lock bags to protect and keep dry; cameras, valuable papers (cash, airline tickets,credit cards, passport, etc.) and any other items that are valuable or perishable.
Tools:
The Habitat affiliate in Gisborne has tools on hand so no need to bring any unless you have a favorite tool that you like to use.
